SOMA
 Retreat

Join Sacha on a sacred journey to the island country of Sri Lanka.

With over a decade of experience teaching the practice of yoga and hosting retreats around the world, Sacha guides a beautifully curated experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to her facilitation.

Soma will take place at the extraordinary Kurulu Bay, a private sanctuary, surrounded by lush greenery overlooking Koggala Lake, Sri Lanka’s largest and most scenic body of water.  Every element of your retreat home has been carefully considered to offer space, privacy and tranquility.

The word soma means “the body as perceived from within.”

Through the modalities of Yoga, Somatic Movement, Breath, Kriya, Reiki and Sound, this retreat invites you on a journey inward. Connecting deeply with self, thus feeling the interconnectedness that exists in all life.

As always, the retreat will be guided with inclusivity in mind. 'Soma' will cater for beginners through to seasoned practitioners. All are welcome.

Be immersed in the experience of a lifetime, and leave feeling nourished, balanced and harmoniously alive.

THE KITCHEN

The Kitchen at Kurulu Bay embraces a culinary landscape shaped by its sea-to-table philosophy. Mindful attention is placed on an unsurpassed quality of ingredients. Sourcing fresh seafood and sustainable harvested produce from the surrounding area, prepared in the open kitchen using organic oils and ingredients and served as simple, elegant dishes with a distinctive touch of the chefs. The culinary experience is framed by spectacular views over Koggala Lake, accompanied by a fine selection of beverages.

The retreat includes Breakfast and Dinner, plus an array of snacks and fresh coconuts to keep you hydrated and your energy sustained throughout the day.

SPA & REIKI

Re-treat yourself.

Stimulate the senses with an Ayurvedic treatment at Kurulu Bay's on site day spa. Personalise your own wellness ritual with a combination of treatments from their hand picked, world renowned therapists, specialising in a delicate blend of Eastern Wellness and Western Science.

Retreat guests can schedule a consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor and reveive a 10% discount on all treatments.

In addition to the reiki energy you'll receive in the group capacity during the yoga practices, there will be an opportunity for a 1:1 Reiki energy alignment session with me from the comfort of your private suite. Your session will be woven with essential oils, meditation, breath work and crystals, leaving you feeling calm and aligned.

1:1 offerings can be added at the time of booking or whilst on retreat.

TESTIMONIALS

Sophie Crowe, VIC

"I've been on two State of Shanti retreats- both have been the highlight of my year, that myself and my friend continue to gush about. Sacha's vision for a retreat feels both luxurious and homely.

As both a student and a teacher, I feel so held by Sacha's facilitation. It's obvious that Sacha has extensive experience teaching, practicing and guiding mindful movement and meditation. Sacha's genuine care for the 'retreat experience' creates a warm and inclusive atmosphere that fosters connection amongst participants.

In short, State of Shanti retreats are a transformative experience that offer serenity and growth. A must-visit for those seeking a meaningful escape.  ”
